These two have been taken to the same spot where their siblings from last season hung out. Presumably it's where the parents rest at night, so the chicks stay there during the day as well while they wait for Shaju and Janet to come from fishing.
The chicks develop so quickly now - these two look like real penguins with only a little bit of a woolly scarf and hat left.
Storm, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm are hanging out in the forest. They live quite close to each other and have found how cool it is to hang out with other kids. They are about the same age and we didn't id them so your guess as to who is who is as good as ours. They all three look fab, so no worries here.
These two are Rubik (left) and Sonic (right) in rehab - and they have come along beautifully and easily eat from the hand.
Pooyasha, TimTam, Lemonstreak and Moonstripe formed
another mini-creche of four of our sponsored chicks. One of them was so intent on his/her preening job that - unlike the others - it never noticed the photographer! These two are Mil and Addison, the chicks raised by Eric and Thor and their nest box is also sponsored. Mil and Addison have been taken quite a way from their nest site by Eric and Thor and are now sitting down a slope under a dense bush - and all we get to see is an outline of a couple of chicks (and imagine a speech bubble "ha, try to catch us here, you giant penguin, you!")
It's rare that we see an adult at home with the chicks but everyone once in a while we see one who has either come home early or is taking the day off. Here, Morgan is hanging with his chicks - and lovely fat wee babies they are looking like they are wearing fluffy pyjamas.
This chick from last season was the first juvenile in for the moult and he did rather well: 8.2kg on the scales. No worries about making it through the moult. Pink got sponsored as a chick when we didn't know his sex. He came in for a check-up in October and got his head measured: definitely a boy.
