Notes

Treatment involves daily doses of Baytrill at the nest. If indicated, hydration and feeding may occur – This has happened in only 2 cases.

The methodology requires minimizing nest disturbance to less than 10 seconds per chick.

Treatment commences as soon as symptoms of infection are seen.

In 2005, under the direction of Dave Houston, all chicks were treated. In 2008, under the direction of David Agnew, only chicks with symptoms were treated.

All of this data has been supplied to DOC at the time and again in annual reports.
